Select a color temperature to see the corresponding Kelvin value and a visual preview. Compare common lighting scenarios from candlelight to overcast sky.
Color temperature describes the hue of white light measured in Kelvin (K). Lower values (2000-4000K) appear warm (yellow/orange); higher values (6000-12000K) appear cool (blue). Our eyes adapt to these differences automatically, but cameras need to be set correctly or white balance adjusted in post-processing to render neutral tones accurately.
